Robur the Conqueror (French: Robur-le-Conquérant) is a science fiction novel by Jules Verne, published in 1886. It is also known as The Clipper of the Clouds. It has a sequel, Master of the World, which was published in 1904. The story begins with strange lights and sounds, including blaring trumpet music, reported in the skies all over the world. The events are capped by the mysterious appearance of black flags with gold suns atop tall historic landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty in New York, the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, and the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
The Four Million is the second published collection of short stories by O. Henry originally released in 1906. There are twenty-five stories of various lengths including several of his best known works such as "The Gift of the Magi" and "The Cop and the Anthem". The book's title refers to the then population of New York City where many of the stories are set. O. Henry was responding to a newspaper editorial which opined that there were only four hundred people in New York City worth knowing.

Der Roman wurde erstmals als Buch 1886 von dem Verleger Pierre-Jules Hetzel veröffentlicht. Eine Vorab-Veröffentlichung erfolgte im Journal des Débats politiques et littéraires in der Zeit vom 29. Juni bis zum 18. August 1886. Die erste deutschsprachige Ausgabe erschien 1887 unter dem Titel Robur der Sieger.
