In this story the author dreams that he is dead and is going up and up. Now he feels that he has lost all opportunities to do good. He tries to recall whatever good he had done during his life time when he was living in this world. He realizes that he has done no deed of great benevolence during his life time. The angel who records good deeds of people is flying with him. He asks him what deeds of goodness he has recorded for him.
Around the Moon (French: Autour de la Lune, 1870), Jules Verne's sequel to From the Earth to the Moon, is a science fiction novel which continues the trip to the moon which was only partially described in the previous novel. It was later combined with From the Earth to the Moon to create A Trip to the Moon and Around It. From the Earth to the Moon and Around the Moon served as the basis for the film A Trip to the Moon.

"Dr. Ox's Experiment" (French: Une fantaisie du docteur Ox, "A Fantasy of Doctor Ox") is a short story by the French writer and pioneer of science-fiction, Jules Verne, published in 1872. It describes an experiment by one Dr. Ox and his assistant Gedeon Ygene. A prosperous scientist Dr. Ox offers to build a novel gas lighting system to an unusually stuffy Flemish town of Quiquendone. As the town bore no charges, the offer is gladly accepted. The hidden interest of Dr. Ox is however not lighting, but large scale experiment on effect of oxygen on plants, animals and humans.
THE WHITE PEACOCK， published in 1911， Lawrence started the novel in 1906 and then rewrote it three times. The curly versions had the working title of Laconia.It involves such Lawrcnrian themes as the damage associated with mismatched marriages， and the border country between town and country. A misanthropic gamekeeper makes an appearance， in some ways the prototype of Mellor's in Lawrence's last novel， Lady Chatterley's Lover. The book includes some notably description of nature and the impact of inclustrialisation on the countryside and the town.
