一直对李叔同先生怀有浓厚的兴趣，不止是他在书法、绘画、音乐、戏剧方面的才华横溢，更因为他风花雪月的情事。他有深爱的日本妻子和孩子，而他又绝尘而去，皈依佛门，走的清绝而超脱，这不是一般俗中人所能做到的。他1880年出生于天津的官宦兼盐商之家，自幼聪慧好学，十几岁书法填词都到了很高的水平，“二十文章惊海内。”可说是一个文化深厚又有艺术天赋的青年才俊。
